Services & Cost

Finglas Counselling Service provides a confidential, low cost counselling service to individuals and couples.  The service is provided by appointment only, usually between 9am and 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday.  All clients are seen in St Helena’s Resource Centre.

Clients are asked to make a donation to the service based on what they can afford.
No client is refused a service because of inability to pay but payment of even a small donation is requested.

Our counsellors have varied qualifications and backgrounds and they are all
trained to relate to and work with people who are in distress.
We aim to provide a confidential non-judgemental, empathic approach to clients. We offer
non-directional counselling which facilitates self exploration, development of
resilience and adaptive coping strategies.  A good therapeutic relationship
with a counsellor can help a person become more self-aware, and discover within
themselves possibilities for positive change in their lives.

All  counsellors operate according to the children first code.
